    3rd Paul Ricœur Price

     

    The third Paul Ricœur Price was awarded to Alain Mahé for the book :

     

     Discours de la Servitude Volontaire / Etienne de la Boétie, translated, annotated and commented on contemporary French by A. Mahé in Kabyle by Ameziane Kezzar in Algerian Arabic by Hakima Berrada, Moustapha Naoui and Abdelha Hamdi Sherif  and classical Arabic by Moustafa Safouan. The book was published by Bouchène editions.

    The jury, chaired by François Dosse, and composed of Laure Adler, Olivier Mongin, Myriam Revault Allonnes and Michael Foessel, rewarded a demanding author and a courageous editor who placed the necessary translation between cultures at the heart of their undertaking.
